Hat Noppharat Thara sits only 10 miles west of Krabi Town in southern Thailand and lies within the Hat Noppharat Thara-Koh Phi Phi National Park area. It is home to a two mile expanse of unspoiled golden sand that is lined with pretty casuarinas trees.

The area is popular with local Thai people and expats, who bring picnics, swim in the blue water and relax in the shade of the trees that edge the back of the beach. Ao Nang is close by with a wide selection of bars and restaurants to choose from and Noppharat Thara has a smaller collection of eateries its own, most of which specialize in fresh seafood dishes.

Hat Noppharat Thara has successfully kept its tranquil atmosphere even though it is becoming increasingly popular with tourists and new resorts are opening all the time. The beach features deckchairs and crowd free, and at low tide you can walk across to neighboring Koh Kao Pak Klong Island.

Getting There & Away

Krabi is home to a popular airport and is easily accessed overland in a mini bus or coach from any of the big tourist destinations. There are many boats and ferries that come in and out of Krabi every day and there are songthaew (shared taxi), taxis and mini buses that run from Krabi Town and Ao Nang to Hat Noppharat Thara.
