With its three kilometers of white powdery sand and clear blue waters, Hat Klong Dao is one of the most popular beaches on the picturesque island of Koh Lanta Yai.
However, the beach rarely feels crowded despite its popularity and there is usually plenty of room to stretch out on the sand. This is a great place for families to hang out as the shallow water is ideal for children and there are plenty of spacious bungalows along the beach to stay in.
Hat Khlong Dao was the first place to be developed on Koh Lanta Yai, just five years ago. This is the perfect time to enjoy the pristine sands. The sunset is particularly pretty from this beach and people gather each evening to eat fresh seafood and watch the dying of the day.
