Located in Vietnam’s Central Highlands, Gia Lai province borders Cambodia, Dak Lak province and Kon Tum province. Home to the Yaly hydroelectricity plant, the province features several waterfalls, springs and rivers such as the Ba and Se San rivers.

Visitors come to the province to experience the tropical forests and waterfalls. The Kon Ka Kinh and Kon Cha Rang are two of the largest forests in the region, while the Phu Cuong and Xung Khoeng are popular waterfalls among tourists. The crystal clear waters and location of the Pearl of Pleiku attracts several visitors, as it sits atop the inactive volcano, Bien Ho.

Apart from the natural wonders of Gia Lai, historical sites such as the Pleiku Prison, King Quang Trung’s guerilla base, and the La Rang battlefields are of great interest for tourists.

Vietnam Airlines flies daily to Gia Lai from Danang and Ho Chi Minh City into Pleiku Airport.
