A beautiful beach that lives up to its name sits on the west coast of the Bukit Peninsula in South Bali and is the perfect spot to chill out and relax to the sounds of the waves.
The area is the site of a failed attempt to build a large development on the coast that was stopped by the Indonesian government and there are now a host of unfinished structures on the hillside. The only way to get to the beach is by walking through the derelict development.
Locals enjoy catching a sunset at Dreamland Beach and it can get busy. There is a large collection of beach bars and restaurants that are great for congregating in. The water is full of surfers Dreamland Beach certainly ticks all the boxes when it comes to surfing conditions.
Strong currents make swimming impossible and many people visit to simply sit back on a rented beach chair and watch the spectacular surfers ride the waves. The beach itself is not particularly long but is it a hangout where surfers and backpackers mingle with locals and drink cold beer.
