Surrounded by Dak Lak province at its most northern point and bordered by Cambodia to the west, Dak Nong province is situated in the Central Highlands of Vietnam.

Gia Nghia in Dak Nong province is 245kms from Ho Chi Minh City and national highway 14 connects the two cities. Buon Ma Thuot in Dak Lak is also connected to Dak Nong via the same highway.
