A perfect remedy to the lively scenes found on the nearby island of Boracay, Carabao Island is part of the Romblon archipelago and is arguably home to the best beaches in the area.

The island is also known as San Jose]] and has untouched scenery made up from powder white sand beaches, clear seas and caves that adorn a mystical air. The island is postcard perfect and is a place to visit to relax and chill out.

The accommodation ranges from beach resorts to cheap bungalows, with dining available in small beach bars and hotel restaurants. In the heart of the island is a funnel-shaped peak, below which the rest of the island sits, and apart from a slightly wooded area the main landscape attraction is its coast.

Tinap-An and Hambil beaches are the top places to relax and soak up the laid-back vibes that are exuded from the island, and Angas, Bunayag and Ngiriton caves are full of interesting stalagmites and stalactites, the latter being the former home of a large colony of bats.
