The Botanical Gardens in the beautiful island of Bali first opened on June 15, 2006. The gardens are a work in progress as the site continues to blossom and expand.

This lush, peaceful sanctuary is just a short journey from the city centre, and is a fantastic attraction for tourists, as well as a delightful retreat for local residents. A network of paths joins five hectares of stunning ravine, including an Orchid Garden, an entanglement of ferns, palm and bamboo, Bali’s first Maze and an Islamic Garden.

Almost two thousands species of plant grow in the garden. A guide booklet is on sale detailing six guided walks which allow visitors to experience around 100 species of birds, as well as the abounding flora.

It is possible to rent out the amphitheatre for weddings and events. Established both to delight the local people and to attract overseas visitors, the Botanic Gardens were planted to safeguard the island’s precious flora, and to enhance the local environmental consciousness.

Scientific and educational programs are currently being developed and will be made available to the Indonesian public. After thousands of miles of tiring travel, Botanic Gardens is a palace with different rooms, secret gardens and the sky for a roof. Visitors can wander around and enjoy an intimate experience with nature.
