One of the most popular attractions in the Singapuda district of Bali, the Bali Bird Park is a great place to visit for those who are traveling with children.

A large number of nature lovers also find their way to the Bali Bird Park, and this natural attraction makes a great break from temple hopping and the hustle and bustle of the city.

The Bali Bird Park contains a large collection of birds from all over Indonesia and much further afield. While many birds are kept in cages, others such as demoiselle cranes are allowed to roam free.

One of the best things about the Bali Bird Park is that it is divided into geographical regions, offering visitors an insight into the birds’ original habitats. The Africa and Americas sections are located near to the entrance and visitors are greeted by the cheerful sight of colourful cockatoos and macaws.

There are a large number of aviaries located around the Bali Bird Park, with the largest being the walk-through “Papua Aviary”, filled with thick tropical vegetation. Small aviaries for lories can also be found inside, although most of the birds in the aviaries are able to fly freely.

Also located next door is the Rimba Reptile Park, home to a large collection of snakes, lizards and other reptiles. There are more than 48 reptile species here including Californian king snakes, taipans, sungazers, and the Madagascar tree boa, with most contained in reasonably-sized enclosures. Visitors can enter the Rimba Reptile Park and the Bali Bird Park on the same ticket, making this the perfect way to spend a day out.
