For those interested in a tranquil place and a clean environment away from the masses, Angkaul Beach is ideal.

A picturesque 1.5km-long white sand beach only 10km from Kep, it seems a world away. Off the coast are the islands of Koh Kok, Koh Svay, and Koh Tbal.

The beach is located amidst salt ‘farms’, where a number of Cambodian families make salt from sea water within large, open fields.

There is a ‘shortcut’ that runs along the coast and through some salt fields. The shortcut may be half the distance, but it is not a sealed road. The turnoff from National Road 33 to the beach is around 20km east of the White Horse Statue, and its a 10km drive from the main road to the beach.
