Air Panas Banjar is a great place for those who want to enjoy the soothing waters of a hot spring while vacationing in Bali. The sulphur-laden water is perfect to ease the aches and pains incurred from a long trek across the beautiful Bali countryside, although many simply come to sit in the waters and enjoy the beautiful surrounding scenery.
The water pours into three pools from the mouths of eight stone sculptures of the dragon-like creatures called naga, first filtering into the upper level pool, then to the largest of the pools on the lower level. The water is a warm 37˚C, and if you’re in need of a soothing massage, check out the pool on the lower level, as the water pours down from four meters above.
The Air Panas Banjar is located near Lovina Beach, and if you get fancy a meal while soaking in the water, there is a small restaurant in the vicinity to satisfy any hunger pangs you may have. There are also small changing-rooms here in the form of quaint-looking cabins, which ensure privacy as you change into your swimming garb.
