Patag National Park Travel Guide

Located 400 meters above sea level on the island of Negros, Patag National Park is a popular hiking destination, drawing natural lovers from all over the Philippines as well as foreign tourists.

There are a diverse range of animals to see in the park, perhaps the best known of which is the spotted deer. The park also contains large monitor lizards, colorful butterflies fluttering amongst the trees and ferns and whooping hornbills.

There are a number of well worn trails running through the park, so visitors who stick to these will have no trouble finding their way back to the park entrance. Although it is easy to visit Patag National Park on a day trip from Bacolod City, many visitors choose to stay overnight, setting up their tents in one of the many wide, grassy areas.
