With the perfect climate and a distinctly laid-back approach, Australia’s third largest city is not its most exciting, but it definitely has its own relaxed charms. The cosmopolitan city center boasts a lively mix of cafés and restaurants, some pleasant bars and a handful of nightclubs. Nowhere near as raucous as some of the other Aussie cities, ‘Briso’ is nevertheless a good place to go out.

There are some interesting museums and galleries, while the casino is the place to throw money away if you tire of the smaller ‘pokies’. Sitting nicely either side of the Brisbane River, the city has several pleasant districts and shopping centers. Most definitely a visitor friendly city, the biggest threat to tourists here is loosing their way on the CityCat ferries that breeze along the river.
